Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 August 2026
The service
LINEAGE is a private platform for capturing and preserving personal voice reflections. It is operated by Ashley Lourey, Australia. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over to hold a LINEAGE account. The account is yours alone — do not share your sign-in with anyone else. If you record reflections about your children, or add a family member’s name or email address, you confirm you have a reasonable basis to do so.
Your content
Everything you record and store in LINEAGE belongs to you. We claim no ownership over your recordings, transcripts, or transformed entries. You grant us a limited licence to process and store your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use LINEAGE to store or process content that is illegal, harmful, or belongs to someone else without permission.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security controls.
- Use automated tools to submit recordings or interact with the API beyond normal personal use.
AI-generated content
LINEAGE uses AI (Groq Whisper and Anthropic Claude) to transcribe your voice and transform your words into written entries. The output is shaped from what you said but is AI-generated. You are responsible for reviewing the content before sharing it with anyone.
Service availability
LINEAGE is provided as-is during its beta period. We aim to keep the service available and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We will give reasonable notice before any significant changes to the service or these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Australian law, LINEAGE is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.
