You are about to hand over something irreplaceable — your voice, and the things you most want your children to keep. You deserve to know exactly what happens to it. This is our promise, in plain words.

Your memories are yours

Everything you preserve belongs to you — the recordings, the photos, the words. Not to LINEAGE. We are the place you keep them, not the owner of them. We will never sell your memories, advertise against them, or hand them to anyone.

You can take everything, anytime

At any moment you can download a complete copy of your vault — your original voice recordings, your full-resolution photos, and every memory as a plain readable document, alongside a full data file. It opens on any computer, with no account and no LINEAGE needed. Nothing in it expires.

You can do this any time from your account, in a single download. Your archive is yours to keep, forever.

No one reads your memories

No one at LINEAGE can read your entries or listen to your recordings. Access is enforced at the database level, so your vault is visible only to you — not to other users, and not to us. Sealed messages for future delivery are encrypted with keys we cannot read. See the technical detail.

We will never train AI on your life

Your recordings are transcribed and shaped into entries, and that is all. Your content is never used to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's. Your life is not training data.

If LINEAGE ever goes away

We intend to be here for a very long time — but you should never have to take that on faith. Because your export is complete and works on its own, your archive outlives the company. If we ever had to wind down, we would give clear notice and time to export, and your downloaded archive would keep working exactly as before. Your memories do not depend on our survival.
